My Happy Family

The happiest moments of my life have been the few which I have passed at home in the bosom of my family.  ~Thomas Jefferson

Have you ever taught about your family more than yourself? Do you feel happy when you spend your time with them? Or, who will you choose, your family or your best friend?

A family is a group of people related by heredity, such as parents, children, and siblings. The term is sometimes broadened to include related by marriage or those living in the same household, who are emotionally attached, interact regularly, and share concerns for the growth and development of the group and its individual members. Every family in this world have their own happiness and problems. They have both love and sad stories.

Some people say that they hate their families. They are unhappy being the member of their families. They also prefer their friends to their family. I think that most of them have ever had a mind to run away from home.

On the other hand, most of my close friends have a happy family, and so have I. I live in a warm little family. My family consists of my father, mother, sister, and me myself. Father is a hardworking businessman and mother is a housewife. She is smart and kind hearted woman who takes control of our home. My sister, Cindy, two years older than me, is studying at Universitas Surabaya now. She is taking professional accounting program because she loves mathematic and accounting.

I do really love my family. I enjoy being with them. However, all of us have different hobbies, talents, and ideas. For example, mother and Cindy love spicy foods when I prefer sweet foods. I love reading books but rest of my family prefer watching TV. We understand each other and respect each other’s needs. As we have different hobbies, talents, and ideas, there are many things we can talk endlessly about.

We have our differences but have the same interest for travelling and doing sports activities. We spend our travelling time together when we have holiday for once a year. I always wish that we can travel more intense. Even though, my parents are busy with their works when Cindy and I concentrate on our study, we still spend the rest of our time together. We do sports together twice a week.

My family gives me a lot of inspiration. My parents teach me how to be a good girl. I learn many lessons from Cindy, especially about school and networking.

Thanks God for the family you have placed me in. 🙂

Finally, how about your family? Have you ever taught about them?

You don’t choose your family.  They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them.  ~Desmond Tutu
